Calendula (Calendula officinalis)

Calendula, sometimes known as Scotch Marigold is a happy yellow flowering plant with strong solar energies. Another yellow flower with a similar name, “Marsh-marigold” (Caltha palustris), was hung on the horns of cows to increase their milk yield, and similarly Calendula is also associated with abundance and prosperity. Brought to our shores by Roman soldiers, this plant was also a staple in the ancient medicine cabinet: used to heal swelling and abrasions as an anti-inflammatory. Used in our melts, Calendula brings a cheery aura of golden success.
