SCENT DESCRIPTION
Midnight-blooming jasmine and lily flowers reach up in to the dark night sky and kiss the sacred pomegranate darkness. Curls of ritual frankincense dance into the air, beckoning the morning sun and the approaching heat of summer. Days stretch on the horizon in a rhythmic song, day and night then day again until the Spring Equinox halts the celestial bodies in a moment's embrace of pure harmony and balance. The gentle hush of soft patchouli lies like blankets over an enchanting musk that smells like the crown of a newborn babe. The woods and flowers are awake again, and the earthy dawn has come once more to usher in the new age.
AN EQUINOX RITUAL
Assign one candle to represent what you want to let go of, and one candle to represent what you want to welcome in. For example, in the Spring Equinox you might choose the black candle to represent what you’re leaving behind in the dark half of the year and the white candle to represent what you’re bringing into the new lighter half. In Autumn this would be the opposite.
Concentrate on the things that no longer serve you and the goals you want to achieve for the future as you light each candle. As the candles burn, imagine your intentions releasing into the universe along with the fragrance and burning wax. Sometimes I like to journal or meditate while they are lit and imagine my anxiety melting away with the melting wax and imagine only success is left behind!
